I leave here two similes to illustrate how the mind works. It’s like the lens of a camera that you focus manually. Then, you decide at will what you want to focus on, and according to that, you will produce experiences and relationships. If, for example, you want silver platform shoes, suddenly you start to see them everywhere. It is not that before they were not, it is that your interest in them makes you see them, because you have focused your mind on that article.

On the other hand, imagine a radio and try to tune into a station. Your thoughts are what make you find that station that corresponds to your belief system. That is, if you think: men cheat, guess what man you will choose to establish a relationship? It’s not that there are no other types of men, only that those ideas that you have are what make you connect with certain types of people and experiences. Of course, no one in their right mind wants to connect with experiences and people that bring us pain. Then why do they happen?

The biggest challenge is that the focus of that lens that is your mind in most cases is not manual (at will). Your mind also attends to your unconscious thoughts, that is, you do not know or you do not realize they are there. These are thoughts stored in your unconscious, instilled at home or those that come from society. The worst thing is that they are negative in general and you have made them yours! So, one of the ways to improve your life is through having higher quality thoughts. So your mind becomes your best ally…

  1. Mind will keep hopping from one thought to is supposed to be like that….what we can do is control the time we spend on that thought …allow it to occupy the space in our mind…
